Swedish coarse wooled gem

Rya are a medium sized, double-coated Swedish landrace breed. They are also known by the less romantic “Swedish carpet wool sheep”. The term Rya can refer to this breed, the traditional Swedish rug woven from this wool, or wool from other breeds with similar characteristics of strength and luster.
